• Evening Features Pacific Garden Mission Men’s Choir and Aurora Studio Chorale

Aurora, Ill., April 18, 2006 (The Religion Wire™) — The public is invited to join Lifespring Ministry (division of Wayside Cross Ministries) for an energizing evening of music and ministry at Lifespring Festival 2006 on Friday, May 5, 7 p.m., Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora.

Pacific Garden Mission Men’s Choir and Aurora Studio Chorale are featured performers for the event. A $10 admission includes dessert buffet and coffee bar. The RVSP deadline is April 24. Call (630) 723-3680 to make your reservation. A free will offering will be taken during the evening.

All proceeds support Lifespring Ministry, Wayside Cross Ministries’ haven for homeless women and children. Since the 1950’s Lifespring has welcomed women who have lost their way because of addiction, domestic violence or other life-altering crises and helped them rebuild their lives.

Wayside Cross Ministries was founded in 1928 by a group of local ministers and Christian community leaders to provide food and shelter for homeless, usually alcoholic men in Aurora, along with presenting the gospel message. Over the years, the ministry expanded to include women and children, the incarcerated, a resale store, a day center in Elgin, and youth work.
