Wayside Cross Bowlathon Set For June 25

• Bowling at Parkside Lanes, AuroraAurora, Ill., May 2, 2006 (The Religion Wire™) —The Master’s Touch Ministry of Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora will benefit from its first ever Bowlathon on Sunday, June 25 at Parkside Lanes in Aurora. More than 150 bowlers are expected to participate in two games of bowling, pizza, refreshments, and a raffle, beginning at 2 p.m.
“We’d like to see 40 teams of 4 bowlers each,” said Randy Tomassi, the Director of The Master’s Touch Ministry. “We’d love for this to become an annual event that attracts interest from the churches, businesses, schools, service clubs, and neighborhoods throughout the Fox Valley.”
In addition to paying a $10 entry fee, each bowler is expected to raise at least $100 in pledges.
The Master’s Touch Ministry is a Bible based, Christ-centered, residential recovery program for men who have lost control of their lives as the result of drugs, alcohol, or another destructive behavior pattern. Through counseling, work rehabilitation, life skills training, education, and spiritual development, hope is offered to men who sincerely desire to turn their lives around and return to job and family as responsible members of society.
